Annual General Meeting: We thank Ed Winter (2012 to 2016) and Pat Nugent (2016), who had resigned from the board of directors, for their time and effort on the board.

We had four individuals let their names stand for a three year term on the OTS Board:

• Trevor Barker with Cameron, a Schlumberger Company, a member for 14 years
• Cole Needham with Horizon North Camps & Catering, a member for 6 years
• Gil Benoit with go-led.ca, a member for 19 years
• Michael Melnick with MHK Insurance Inc., a member for 7 years

Since there were no nominations from the Floor and since the Board was looking at filling four (4) spots, all the nominated were elected to the board.

 

34^th Annual Crib Tournament: 54 teams participated in the March 2^nd tournament. 

Brian Grandish and George Kosh were the big winners - To find out whom the other winners were go to 2017 Crib Tournament.

Brandon Shier won the Connor McDavid Jersey Raffle.

 

Technical Meeting:  On April 13^th, Keynote Speaker Patrick Smyth, VP of Safety& Engineering for Canadian Energy Pipeline Association, spoke on the Economics and Safety of Hydrocarbon Pipelines.  The evening was sponsored by Safety Coordination Services Inc.

 

7^th  Annual Memorial Golf Tournament: Wally Kuchar was honored and  Murray Rayner, Don Criss, Harold Gartner, Sandy MacDonald, Dymtro Petruk and Daniel Zimmer were remembered by the 57 individuals that registered in the May 18^th tournament held at the Jagare Ridge Golf Course.  The supper, after the tournament at the OTS Park, was prepared by The Canadin Brewhouse.

 

Annual Family Picnic: Due to the great weather, over 150 people showed up for the picnic.  The kids enjoyed the bouncy house, a balloon artist, a tattoo artist and Batman. We were very fortunate to have the following companies sponsor the picnic.

47^th Annual Golf Tournament: The tournament was held at Jagare Ridge Golf Course, which was in great shape for our tournament on August 16^th and 17^th.

Annual Multi-Company Christmas Party: Employees of the companies listed below enjoyed a scrumptious meal catered by Elizabethan Catering Services Ltd., followed by a night of Comedy, Holiday Cheer headlined by Houston comedian, Olivia Allen-Arrington, with special guests Charles Haycock & Stephen McGovern..  Here by...Request  provided the DJ for the dance. There was also have a Photo Booth for some candid pictures to take home as a memento of the evening.
